The Hotel
The Hotel hacienda Posada de Vallina is located to the southern wall of the legendary Grand Mosque and Cathedral (Mezquita). Most of Cordoba’s further attractions are found in urgent vicinity of the hotel, as well.

The hotel building dates back to a time before construction of the Mezquita begun. So called Alarifes, the builders of the Mezquita, used to reside in what is today our hotel.

In Medieval times, Posada de Vallina became one of the most significant harborages throughout the Iberian peninsula. Due to its brilliant location right at Vía Augusta, an ancient Roman military and trade route, the hotel was popular with colonists and merchants, as studies of archaeologist Laura Aparicio indicate.
Worth mentioning is the fact that famous Christopher Columbus during his stay in Cordoba lived in what is today Room 204.
The hotel, as you find it today, opened in March 2007 after extensive restoration. It provides not only the charm of an ancient establishment, but also all modern amenities making your stay pleasant and even unforgettable.
